Looks like we had about 240 start day one, 132 finish day one, about 130 start day two, and 101 finish the stage race. That is pretty much double last year in every respect.
Congrats to the finishers for the second year in a row: Dan Crain and Anny Beck on their tandem, Catharina Berge, Jeannette Gueffroy-Barker, Todd Barker, Abraham Taylor, Donovan Douglas, Chris Walker, Tom Reid, Clive Lightwood, Mark Weiderman, and Dwight Ball. Congrats to those who didn't finish last year but came back and finished this year: Doug Forsha, Peter Pop, and Ross Klobucher. And especially congrats to those who didn't finish last year but came back this year AND WON THEIR CATEGORIES!: Hossein Majidian, Emmanuel Suarez, and Warren McKean.
Congrats to Chris Walker and Catharina Berge who took home the maximum prize list. Yes ladies, Catharina had the same $ as Chris! She was way strong again. And Chris flew on day two, beating his course record.
Thank you everybody that made this year an awesome event, especially all the aid station personnel and neutral support drivers!!! As you may know the race organizer and race director had never been even peripherally involved in organizing an event before last year. With your help we are learning LOTS! Based on the feedback, we did MUCH better than last year and already have lots of great ideas for NEXT YEAR. Yup, we will be back.
